Hello Spartan Families! Cedar Middle School will be hosting a Drive-Thru schedule and Chromebook pick up. 7th grade students can come on 8/2, last names A-L between 10:00am & 12:00pm, last names M-Z between 1:30 & 3:30pm. 8th grade students can come on 8/3, last names A-L between 10:00am & 12:00pm, last names M-Z between 1:30 & 3:30pm. Our Back to School Night will be held on 8/8 with a BBQ fundraiser starting at 4:30pm. Students and their families will be able to tour the campus, meet their teachers, purchase PE clothes, learn about what CMS has to offer, and pick up any remaining materials until 6:30pm. We hope to see you there!

We have our Spartan Spectacular Awards program scheduled for next Thursday, May 25th. Our 7th grade students will be recognized in the morning and our 8th grade students will be recognized after lunch. All students receiving an award received an invitation in their 1st period class today. Awards will be based off of period 4 grades and there will also be some special awards handed out at each of the ceremonies. Please check with your child to see if they received an invitation and we look forward to seeing our parents and students award recipients at the Spartan Spectacular next week. Reminder we have NO school this Friday May 19th, however, we do have our 8th grade Knott's trip scheduled for those who purchased tickets. Students need to be at CMS by 8:30am and will return by 9:00pm.

Correction!!! Good morning Spartan families. In just a few minutes we will be holding our final drawing for all CMS students who earned 4-5 VALOR pins throughout the 22-23 school year. We will be giving prizes out to students totaling over $3000 thanks to Victorville Motors!! Our first drawing will start at 10:57 for students who have B lunch and our second drawing will be at 11:27 for students who have A lunch. Good Evening CMS Spartans, State testing will begin tomorrow, Thursday April 20th. Both 7th and 8th grade students will be participating in the CAASPP testing. Students will test through their 1st period class, so be sure to come to school on time and prepared with your fully charged Chromebooks and charger. El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Hesperia ofrece un curso de estudio sobre salud sexual para estudiantes de secundaria. Este plan de estudios se enseñará a través de la clase de ciencias de 7º grado de su hijo, de quien el jefe del departamento estará disponible para responder cualquier pregunta en la reunión preliminar de padres el 5/2 @ 3:30 pm en la biblioteca de CMS. Todos los estudiantes recibirán una carta para llevar a casa a sus padres esta semana con más información sobre este tema. Si tiene inquietudes con respecto a la participación de su hijo en esta unidad, comuníquese con el maestro de ciencias de 7º grado de su hijo de inmediato.

Good evening 7th grade Spartan families. The Hesperia Unified School District offers a course of study on Sexual Health for middle school students. It is required that parents/guardians be notified prior to instruction. This curriculum will be taught through your child’s 7th grade science class, of whom the department chair will be available to answer any questions at the parent preview meeting on 5/2 @ 3:30pm in the CMS library. All students will be receiving a letter to be brought home to their parents this week with more information on this topic. If you have concerns regarding your child’s participation in this unit, please contact your child’s 7th grade science teacher immediately.
